An empty void cannot contemplate itself and therefore lacks the intention necessary to create something out of nothingness. Before the creation of the universe, there was only a singular presence—pure Spirit. The simple fact that you exist means you have taken form from a formless void—evidence of a Creator whose essence transcends matter.

Greetings from My Mountain Cabin,

As human science has evolved over the centuries, researchers and theoreticians have expended considerable effort in an attempt to discover the basic nature of the physical universe. Mankind has tasked itself with pondering the imponderable.
What, if anything, existed before the physical universe came into being?
Was the universe created by a powerful conscious entity, or could matter have spontaneously sprung into existence of its own accord from a perfect vacuum?
Is there a commonality to all that exists in the universe?

New cosmic paradigms seem to appear with each successive human generation, the most recent model often revising or at least challenging the last.

Ancient civilizations embraced mythological tales that described the origins of the Earth and other celestial bodies. An understanding of the true dimensions of matter and energy was cloaked in superstition and legend.

Albert Einstein and a host of contemporary theoretical physicists suggest matter is simply energy of a high vibrational frequency. What you perceive as solid is no more than wave patterns of extremely close proximity. As such, physical objects are a phenomena of interchangeable matter/energy. (That's what e=mc² illustrates.) Further, the composition of a physical object can change merely through the process of being observed.

We have a greater number of questions about the phenomenological universe than we do answers. Of one thing we can be fairly certain, matter is incapable of creating itself whence only a vacuum existed.

If matter has not always existed, some
thing had to bring it into being from that which was devoid of substance. This "thing" predated matter, since no matter had heretofore existed. The creating agent was and is pure Spirit.

Sacred texts serving as foundations of various belief systems present their own versions of how the Earth and the cosmos were created. The veracity of any of these works is subjective and dependent upon the mind set and conviction of its adherents. In all cases, however, the physical universe is seen as emanating from a non-physical source. (I like to think of the moment of creation as the
Big Sneeze rather than the Big Bang. Kinda personalizes it.)

It logically follows, therefore, that everything existing on a physical plane had its origins in Spirit. Material objects are physical manifestations of the creative entity that preceded the creation of matter. In other words, the unifying element in all of creation is Spirit; Spirit is all that there is. Since matter came from Spirit, matter and Spirit are inseparable.

Metaphorically, and perhaps even literally, Spirit is using your eyes through which to view the world. Makes you feel important, doesn't it?

Be well, do good work, keep in touch,

Ed
